Dr. Dennis Edelbrock

Dr. Dennis Edelbrock has performed with The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" and Army Brass Quintet since 1975. Since that time, he has also written music used frequently at official state ceremonies as the White House, national television specials as well as International Olympic events.
The Army Brass Quintet entertains at the White House tours and records extensively. It has performed “live” on NPR, the CBS, BBC, NBC’s “Today Show” and “Prairie Home Companion” among others. The ensemble has been repeatedly chosen as the first to perform honors for newly inaugurated Presidents and had the honor of performing for televised state funerals for Presidents Reagan and Ford.
Edelbrock has been principal trumpet for the Kennedy Center’s Washington Chamber Symphony for over 20 years and has been a frequent soloist on NPR He has also performed over 100 radio broadcasts (NPR) with the National Gallery Orchestra. He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, the Bolshoi and Kirov Ballets, the NSO, with whom he has recorded, and the Kennedy Center Orchestra and world’s first web-cast in Handel’s “Messiah” as a soloist.
